Water only every 2 to 3 weeks. The thick rhizomes store water. Let the soil dry out fully between drinks.

Tolerates shade and low light. It grows slowly there. A bright spot without direct sun makes it grow faster.

Feed once a month in summer at most. Repot only when the pot is packed. Thick roots can push the plant up.

Too much water makes the rhizomes rot. Yellow, soft stems are the sign. Better to forget it than to overwater it.
