Water every two to three weeks. Let the soil dry fully and keep water off the rosette.

Give it a very sunny spot. In too little light it stretches and loses its tight rosette shape.

Feed lightly once or twice in summer. Repot every year or two into gritty cactus soil.

Water standing in the rosette causes rot. Remove dry lower leaves, and check for mealybugs between the leaves.
